IT refund?

hello had file it return on 10th Jan. Still waiting for the IT refund. Is it normal? Have heard that the IT refunds are now being issues within 21 days. How long does it take to get IT refund usually?

It depends on how your ITR is being processed by IT dep...

please link you bank previlidge account with IT

There is no time limit... return processing are taking as less as 7 days and as more as 6 months

Will get intimation by email sms message when it's processed. 10th Jan was the last day of filing return so may be huge numbers might have been filed . wait till 31st March hopefully.

dont worry its absolutely normal, they may take time for proecessing till 31st March. but as per my discussion with IT dept on such cases, you should get the processing letter 143(1) by end of february. and bank account is prevalidated you should get the refund soon.

do check the status of return in IT portal and also FYI/FYA tabs.

Section 143(1) intimation has to be sent within one year from the end of the financial year in which return is being filed. For eg: if the taxpayer has filed return pertaining to the financial year 2019-20 in July 2019, intimation can be sent any time till 31 March 2021.

If a taxpayer does not receive any intimation within such period, it simply means there are no adjustments carried out to the return filed by the taxpayer and no change in tax liability/refund and acknowledgement filed itself is deemed to be Section 143(1) intimation.

I am still waiting for the IT refund for the return efiled on 10th Jan. is there anyone else who is till waiting for the refund or am I the only one?
