Dear frds/ experts,
A person who is not eligible to file the income tax return have rcvd a letter from IT department to furnish the IT return, since TDS has been deducted u/S 194A for just Rs.16/-. Even though, I would like to check his 26AS statement. For that, 1st I have to register an A/c for him.
Now my doubt is, if we register it once, does that person shall compulsorily file his IT return every year??? or not like that???
Plz advice me with your suggestions.
Plz treat very urgent & earliest reply would be greatly appreciated.

No it's not mandatory to file income tax return until unless your TDS is deducted or you cross the taxable limit.

any PAN holders can register their self in IT
No....
It's not mandatory if assessee income is less than the ceiling limit..

But,
TDS deducted in any manner then Filing required based on the TDS...
Thank you all....
Then, 1) He do not wants to file IT return to claim the TDs amt for just Rs 16/-. Can he do so???
2) Else, if he files his IT return for this time, Is it mandatory for him to file the same for subsequent years???
He should file his income tax return whether amount 16 or less than it.

not it's not mandatory to file the returns for the subsequent year if income is not taxable or TDS is not deducted
Thank u Sir...
