While paying advance, by mistakingly we provide wrong assessment year. How to rectify this issue

File the ITR & get the refund for the year to which tax is paid..

And pay again to correct year ..


Else your AO to correct AY ..

Whatever you have paid you will get an acknowledgement for that.
You cannot adjust one assesment year against another assesment year.

Challan correction can be done through AO

Just log in to traces, select challan correction, enter the new values and submit. Takes less than 2 minutes and is usually corrected in less than two days.

It's not tds challan .It's income tax
