There is nothing like IT ACT 2008 or 2009 etc., The IT ACT in vogue now is the one introduced in 1961. Every year after the finance bill is passed in parliament, the tax proposals or amendments or new introductions are implemented through Finance Act. Such Finance Act is named after each year. This is only an order conveying the different provisions newly introduced or amended or omitted.
