I could not clear my ca final may 15 just bcz of ISCA. I dnt understand how to manage this subject. I got just 17.
Please suggest me. I cant mug it up

Yes, definately you have got to memorise it, nothing else helps. But yes, the more you read it you will definately start to understand the subject and will be able to remember it and please dont ignore the practice manual.

Hi Priyansh,
I was in same boat as you are in. In November 2014 I got 30 in ISCA despite studying from study material.I can very well understand your pain as on date.
Then again, I started with ISCA.I gave it 6 full time readings. My advice would be, start with first reading a fresh mind. Give it 3-4 hours daily, for 15 days.After that second reading, try to remember the points of the topic. Give second reading 12-13 days. And henceforth subsequent readings according to your own satisfaction. Cram points, also have idea what is to be answered in explaining those points. Lay very special emphasis on topic of practice manual.
Doing this I was able to clear this time, scored 49 marks in ISCA. God's grace got out of this subject this time.

I have never been in this exercise of mugging up right from my school days. I have habit of reading, understanding and trying to remember.
But for clearing CA, you have to cram the topics of ISCA. Try to remember and recall the headings of topic, everytime you read the topic.A Little Image of the page should reflect in your mind.

You Should take the question of ISCA given in practice manual (only questions) and understand these question what the question ask about. Than in ISCA study you should identify the paras of the relevent chapter which should be the answer to this question. Go for each and every question in each and every chapter,you will surely successful.

Dear friend, You have to read ICAI material thoroughly. Go throgh this atleast 3 times. Only after comleting the material , refer Practice manual and RTPs for exam purpose. This is the only subject we cant mug up easily as things will forgt easily. Try to study with some tactics. Try to write answers in point to point basis,.You need not remember the contents but match with the points. Presentation is more vital. As valuers may not have enough time to read all, they will search for the points as per the answer key. That is why we write points first. I would like to quote my experience. In my first attempt I studied only practice manual and RTPs for 3 months and i got 50. I understood the pattern of questions and I referred only ICAI main module. I covered 3 times within 2 months and I got 75. No coaching classes, no additional materials.
