ICSI ALSO PROVIDING EXEMPTION BUT THERE IS SOME DIFFERENCE IN RULES OF PROVIDING EXEMPTION BY ICSI AS COMPARED TO ICAI. FOLLOWING ARE THE DIFFERENCE:
1. IF U FAIL IN ONE SUBJECT AND GET MORE THAN 60% AGGREGATE IN REMAINING SUBJECT THEN BOTH THE SUBJECT WILL BE EXEMPTED BUT IN NEXT ATTEMPT U HAVE TO GET 50 MARK OF THE FAILE SUBJECT. I.E. MARK U GOT 35, 50 AND 70 THEN 2ND AND 3RD SUBJECT WILL BE EXEMPED BUT IN NEXT ATTEMPT U HAVE TO SCORE 50 MARK IN 1ST SUBJECT.
2 IF U GET 35,50 AND 69 MARKS THEN ONLY 3RD PAPER LL BE EXEMPED AND U HAVE TO SCORE 100 MARKS OUT OF 1ST TWO SUBJECT IN NEXT ATTEMPT.

You need to get 100 marks from the other two subjects in your next attempt. However, if you have your second group pending as well, then you need to score 250 from the 5 subjects (no need to score 100 or more from GCL and Tax).

You are eligible to claim exemption.
But I would advise you not to. Its because its seen from the past that the examiners tend to award handsome marks in GCL, so this helps in reaching the boundary of 150 marks. However, in the absence of GCL, it would be a bit tough to reach 100 with the other two subjects. You are a perfect example of what I am indicating to.
