I Pay Service tax on Telephone and Broadband bill.
Is it allowed as Cenvat credit ???
whether the bill should be in the name of Partnership firm
or only my name(being the partner in the firm) on the bill is sufficient????

Hello Deepen,
Yes you can take CENVAT of the service tax paid on telephone bills,
The bill should be in the name of entity who is availing CENVAT, means if firm eants to avail CENVAT, the bill should be in the name of firm.
Bill in the name of partner cannot be used to avail CENVAT in name of firm, as both are different person

The eligible input service used for provding taxable services wouldbe available as long as the telephone is used for business. If in office even if in the name of the partner - eligible.
Cenvat is a benifical scheme to avoid cascading of taxes abd therefore elitimate biusiness xp are available.
