I need a reference book for theoretical study of Cost and Management Accounting.
My prospectus from ICWAI advises these two books by V.K Saxena & C.D Vashisht:
- Advanced Cost and Management Accounting - Textbook and
- Advanced Cost and Management Accounting - Problems and Solutions
Since I only need a book for theoretical study, I wanted to buy the first one.
Now here is my problem. On the website of Jain Book Agency (link to the page), the only website that returned results for Saxena & Vashisht, there are four titles by the same author.
- Advanced Cost and Management Accounting - Problems and Solutions
- Basics of Cost and Management Accounting
- Cost Accounting - Problems and Solutions
- Cost Accounting - Textbook
However, none of them is the same as 'Advanced Cost and Management Accounting - Textbook', the one mentioned in the ICWAI prospectus and the one I need as my textbook.
Can anyone please tell me which of these titles will server me well for theoretical study in Cost and Management Accounting?
I have looked in the local bookstores (in Lucknow) and have searched infibeam.com, flipkart.com and other places on the internet for the availability of this book but didn't find it anywhere. So it would be great if any of you points me to a shop in Lucknow, Kanpur or Delhi where I can get it.
