Is PANCARD xerox required during ITR ?

Hi all,

I hv a query related to ITR submission.

I hv duely filled up the form16 and now have to submit the ITR form,but when I contact any agent they say that PAN card xerox is required for the ITR submission. As I have only the PAN card number and never got the PAN card from IT dept, cant file the ITR.

Can anyone help .....

Dear Friend, PAN card copy is not required for filling ITR, Just you have to fill up your PAN into ITR. You can apply for new PAN card mentioning your old PAN so that you will get new PAN card with your old PAN. FOr this you have to fill form 49A and attach with that form your identity proof and address proof. You have to also take one copy mentioning your PAN from site of Income tax Dept. Attach all these documents with Form 49A. I hope you will get you PAN card soon.
