Is medicine expenses can be considered fr incometax benifits

Hello

I wish to know whether a Monthly Medicine expenses for My father/ Mother can be considered to get exemption from TDS. Roughly Rs. 5000 is my regular expenses towards Medicine. (Till Date i have just taken a bill from Pharmay on my Name)
