Yes Devesh it is really possible I too have self studied Subjects like Costing, Law, Accounts and Adv Accouning......
For, Law Munish Bhandari is the best book so you may solely depend on that book plus scanner ....avoid Inst Practice Manual very poor because one ques is repeated thrice and all the answers are doubtful and different from one another. However, you may go for scanner ( but not actuially reqired).
For, Costing& FM Padhuka plus Practice Manual will be good combination. also solve problems from Inst Practice Manual........Especially in Costing keep on revising regularly.
For, Accounts Institute Study material plus practice manual is nice combination ( I too have done that and completely satisfy)....For extra ques of AS you may go for DS Rawat AS book.
For, taxation TN Manorahan is very good ...in this book you will get conceptual clarity plus presentation skills(answers presented very nicely & neatly manner unlike Girish Ahuja or VK Singhania)
