It is not a good decision. However it does not affects any of us, as CA examinations are not rank based examinations. Any one who is efficient enough, can make it.
But this decision will result in ruining futures of many students. As those students who are not capable, keeps wasting their precious time in no. of attempts in the hope that they will make it in next attempt. And at the end they give up after wasting 2-3 years of time.
Rather institute should make CPT more tougher with limited no. of attempts, so that only those students get passed who are efficient enough. And others can go for other courses inspite of wasting time here.

Good for graduation students to enter IPCC directly, only if they are conceptually clear in their BCOM studies..

It is good move.also ICWAI and ICSI have same system.
Internationally also the Graduates are getting direct admission in the professional cources instead of entry examination.

no its not a good plan...CA-IPCC syllabus s highly vast compared to graduation course n i know it well coz i ve just finished B.com n found it really difficult for tis past MAY2011 IPCC exm with my B.com knowledge....for a commerce student itself its tough means then how ll other domain graduates could perform it without even trying n clearing CPT...so according to me this amendment could ve been revised much

Y ONLY THINKING OF ONLY GRADUATES THERE ARE OTHER PROFESSIONAL STUDENTS LIKE CS AND CWA WHO WILL GET BENEFITED FROM THIS DECISION OF ICAI. WHO IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR KNOWLEDGE HAVE TO GONE THROUGH THE CPT.
IF OTHER PROFESSIONAL BODIES WILL STOP GIVING THE EXEMPTION THEN U WILL FEEL THE ACTUAL PAIN, SO PLEASE STOP COMPLAINING...........................

no its not as cpt gave us an opportunity to get our basics right and at the same time it gave us ample time during the preparation of cpt to understand the ca world..
