I know VAT registration is not needed if the turnover is below 5 Lakh. Is CST registration needed for doing bussiness between different state, turnover below 5 Lakh. I mean for online selling.
Or can we purchase and sale items from and to different state with personal PAN card number?
Please advice, it will helpful for us.

sirs,
even thoug it is not compulsory, u cannot bill at the concession rate of 2%% for any intestaste transactions, and if u are a unregistered dealer u will not charge the tax in your bill and and the buyer has to pay at a higher rate of applicable vat in the state and cannot avail the benefit of reduced rate of 2% hnce it it advisable if ur transaction is interstate and better to have cst registration and file regular returns even it is nil.please
