I just came across your post from last year and it's a topic that absolutely needs to be discussed. Bullying and harassment should never be considered "normal" in any setting, especially not in the corporate world. It's unfortunate that these issues persist, and you're right to question the ethics of it all.
It's crucial for workplaces to have clear policies against bullying and harassment, complete with confidential reporting mechanisms. Many companies are now also employing Digital Investigation methods to uncover cases of blackmail or other forms of harassment. If you find yourself in a toxic work environment, don't hesitate to seek outside help or escalate the issue within the company if internal resources fail.
