Is an american company taxable in india if it has a bank a/c

As I get to learn that after an Apostille certification(As Both India and US are members of the Hague Apostille Convention) an American Company can have a business current account in India. My main question is would the company which has a bank account here be taxable. If taxable what would be the rates? Provided:

  • The company won't have direct/indirect business transactions in any part of the country.
  • The company is web based which operates websites, develops mobile apps which are available throughout the world.
  • The company is controlled by Indians who are residents.
  • The company would be having the structure of an LLC registered in Nevada, US.

Hi Sandeep, I'm dealing with a similar kind of situation. I formed my company in UK and am trying to get a bank account opened here.

Can you please guide me on things like which bank would be able to get me a bank account for my situation, would I have to double tax?

Also, it would be great if I can get in touch with you some more questions.

Thank you,

Ravi..
