If  Public Ltd. Co wants to go for public issue (IPO) then  is it compulsory to get listed on any Stock Exchange or is it optional?

If a Public Limited Company is proposing to moblise funds from General Public it must have to follow SEBI(ICDR) and must have to get itself listed in any recognised Stock Exchange.

Whether there are other way out go for Private Placement or preferential allotment if you don't want to get your Company listed.

Regards,

yes listing is compulsory if co is going for IPO
