Hi.
I think there is a mistake in the Cost and FM paper. Please review the paper again and Correct the following mistake :
1 Marginal Costing --- Fixed cost has been taken 7 Lac instead of 15.80 Lac to calculate the sales
2. Process Costing : The Balance of Process I has not been transfered in the Process 2nd account
Regards,
Sandeep
sandeep bhatt, u r right....
The Balance of Process I has not been transfered in the Process 2nd account.
so u can see the RTP q.9 may 2010.

In the attached PDF file which is from the RTP you can find that the balance of Process I has been transferred to the process II but in your Cost and FM solution the same approach was not followed.
Please tell me if I am stil wrong ?

hi,
i have a doubt regarding the solution of escalation claim question of cost & fm.
in the solution escalation is claimed on the basis of variance of price but not on the utilisation of labour and material, if u go through the definition of escalation claim it says that escalation clause is usually provided in the contract as a safeguard against any likely changes in the price or utilisation of material and labour.
so i beileve that utilisation of labour and material is also have to consider while calculating escalation claim
please clearify me if i am wrong,

escalation claim is provided for % of change in prices due to inflation or time gaap between contract bt escalation claim is only given for change in standard price and actual price , reason behind this is a contractor shud knw hw much quntity material is required.
U'VE HELPED ME TO ESTIMATE MY RESULT...THANX
