Thank you for the response @ Arun.
New guidelines as per institute require a student to register for article as well as for exam simultaneously. So in literal sense an employed person cannot pursue CA. So an accountant or accounts payable executive or finance executive in a firm cannot pursue CA.
In today’s high inflation and competitive world, one cannot expect a person to come out of employment and start fresh. A person might have responsibilities to take care of and with the stipend provided by chartered firms, these responsibilities cannot be taken care of.
Though it is permissible, for a student who has completed article and still has not cleared exams to continue with his/her attempts.
They should consider a person’s experience related to accounting in some way or the other as part of article training. After all articles is part of CA course to include the practical aspect of course.
Rather the institute should say that ok, let a person clear CA and may be show relevant experience to earn the charter thereafter. That would be other way of looking at it.
If chartered firms are not getting resources to run the firm, there should be other way of dealing with the issue. That is different problem altogether. Even today fresh graduates move on after graduation in search of decent paying jobs.
There should not be any barriers or impediments to knowledge.
The above thoughts are my perception. People may agree or disagree, Views are welcome.
