It's good if you can remember sections & case laws. But i think at ipcc level, remembering all the sections & case laws is not too important. I would suggest you to remember some important sections. In exams, a student who doesn't write sections, caselaws gives better impression then who writes wrong sections , caselaws.

Krishna,
We as a professional always wants to excel in all stages be it of exams or of handling big corporate deals.
As a student, your concern is correct that whether one must quote sections, case laws etc. in the answers sheets.
I will suggest you to write the answers in the most appropriate way, as defined in the section. Citing wrong case law or quoting wrong section can reverse the situation. Its better and even advisable, if you know the section or case law correctly then only write the same in the answer sheet. Its my opinion.
