20 September 2008Whether a public limited company whose share capital is subscribed by public and being listed company whether can invest in mutual funds - debt. Whether it will be treated on par with fixed deposits. Is there any limiation under companies act in terms of investment.

The company can.
MF investment is not on par with FD
They are investments.
No limit as per Companies Act as MF are not corporates.
GSTR 9 and 9C for FY 23-24 as amended by Notification 12/2024 dated 10th July 2024(with recording)
