02 July 2013What is the difference between the following two options given the fact that Proprietor's personal income is clubbed with the Proprietory Firm's income when filing income tax return?
- Proprietory Firm A invests in mutual funds in it's name & generates short term return
- Proprietor of A invests in mutual funds in his/her name & generates short term return

If the income is clubbed, then STCG would also be clubbed. Doesn't make any difference.
