Hi Abhishek
You are right. I learned that in Investment banking, they wont consider CAs (specially freshers). This is because our curriculum does not include stock exchange and stuff. So, what are your plans then ?

There are companies like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan etc... looking for CA's. However they always prefer experienced people. You can join any of the companies engaged in fund accounting, stock brokerage or investment mangagement, then move to these companies after a year experience.
CAs are always in demand in investment banking domain. Investment Banks and research houses keep on looking for right set of people. Infact about 25% CAs passed in last 5 years have moved into IB domain.

CAs do have a scope in Investment Banking,..as an analyst..but problem with CAs is, we dont have a knowledge of banking and finance. So I would suggest you to start keeping an eye on stock market, read business newspapers (Mint or Business Standard or Hundu Business Line). Also, do a relevant certification as you will get some understanding of the area and on your CV also, it will show your iniitiative and interest in this area . FLIP certifications are good. They have many finance speccific certification courses. You can do their Investment Banking certification program. Try (https://www.learnwithflip.com/programs/investment-banking) ...their courses are quite popular..
