If its for AY 2018-19, refile. u/s. 139(4) IT act.
For earlier years you may try to file condonation request.

Try to file condonation request online, to activate the Invalid return. If accepted, e-verify the same.

After login to efiling site...
My account >>> Service Request >>> New Request >>> Condonation Request >>> submit.
If its open you will be prompted to proceed.
Otherwise .... 'No Records Found'

No, you cannot file return for AY 2017-18 now, unless you have refund due and as such written permission (offline) granted by JCIT to file return u/s. 119(2)(b). For that file condonation request to your Jurisdictional JCIT/ITO to file ITR.
