Hello Frns,

While Filling the Original TDS Return by mistake i have entered Wrong PAN of Deductee...Now when i want to revise it can v modify the PAN or Have to Pay 20%????

@ Sachin..

Dost i have downloaded the default and tax in original return was deducted @ 10% but due to invalid PAN now dept.is demanding 20% so nw i have to pay that extra 10% or i can change the PAN in revise return??

Hi Rahul,

u need not to pay 10% extra amount as per default. File revise return with valid pan of deductee.

Thanks For the Reply......I m Trying but it is showing an erroe like We Can not Modify the PAN...

Rahul,

First you should download consolidated fvu file of the original return and then you can revise the particular

return with the correction of pan no. and if you already paid correct rate of % in the original return, You

dont need to pay the extra 10% in the revised return. So, just you can rectify the pan no. and file the tds

revised return.

RPU means Return Preparation Utility

FVU means File Validation Utility

***RPU :- This is a softwared version to generate the TDS ereturn. And according to I.T.Department this software version should have to updated. (ex. FVU Version : 3.6 )

*** FVU :- After the enter the data of TDS, and should generate the e-return, then a file with the deductor's name will generated with an extension of fvu (ex. ABC.fvu ). And only with this file the TDS filing centre can file TDS ereturn.
