Sir,
Intimation u/s 245 is given for adjusting available refund against any demand outstandings. If you do not agree with the demands you have reply within 15 days the reason for the same in order to receive the refund. Or otherwise the refund will be automatically adjusted.

Login to efiling site, and on outstanding demand there is a tab to download intimation u/s. 143(1)......... click on it, download the assessment copy, check the additional liability of tax as diffenciating from ITR filed......
Verify the same with form 26AS.......... If it pertains to you, no more argument.
Otherwise raise rectification request for the addition.

Procedure remains same......... First evaluate the reason of the addition......
Without any specific cause/reason, one cannot define exact solution.
