@ Dhanashri:
Did you fill Form 10E for claiming relief u/s 89?
Most of the times it happens that either you are not aware about it or have forgotten to fill it. Not to worry.
When relief is claimed you have to submit Form 10E, this is available under "E-File" > Prepare and Submit Online Form (Other than ITR)" section of incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in website.
Kindly upload form 10E and then apply again for rectification u/s 154.
After submitting application for rectification to CPC/AO, you need to submit online response. If you fail to respond to the demand within 30 days from the date of receipt of notice u/s 245, department will adjust demand with the refund due to you.
- Go to ‘e-file’ tab-> Response to outstanding demand-> Submit response -> select the appropriate category for disagreement.
- After selecting the appropriate category provide the required details and submit. The same will be reviewed by the Department.
