Bhaiyon and Uttam Agarwal ki behno;we being CA students can't be treated as dehaati nitwits or dumb bhola-bhala village bumpkins. As i had been ranting on april 1 about president's speech; i had told that this is all excuses made by our pujaniya President about revoking transfer ban. This interview has confirmed with the same. He is asying that "go for secondment" and is trying to PASS ON THE BUCK TO THE PRINCIPAL itself so that he stays clear of this mess.
1Will a principal himself admit indirectly by allowing secondment that "betaa, mere office mein toh jyaada exposure nahi hain. Kahi aur dhundon."
2.Plus while asking for secondment; we most probably spoil our relations with first CA; and when we come back after secondment period expires; how will he treat us? He will be more tyrannical, for sure......
3. Secondment may be misused by the CA himself; by allowing secondment in only those purpose where his future works will be benefitted. Suppose, he wanna start bank audit next year onwards; and he will allow sec. to 2 articles; who originally wanna go for "excise and customs audit"; but will be forced for "bank audit exposure." Again , secondment is against students.
4. Secondment can't be taken in last year of articleship; as told by notification to 27.3.2009 announcement; that transfer isn't allowed in last year.(confirm this fact,i am not sure).
So secondment is no way out from a idiot principal.
Regarding placement; why isn't Chopra talking about the stupid rules of placement by icai placement commitee; than regardless of bagging a job or not; a fresher can't appear for campus placement again.
Even Taxmann knows the gravity of the problem of transfer ban and frequent changes in syllabus; but judging by his replies; he aint accepting that it's icai's misguided missile which has frequently missed its objectives.
And he talks about coaching via satellite. Those people who can't afford computers; leave alone fast broadband; how will they avail such schemes. Koi "ralative" company ko thekaa diya hai kyaa to supply cheap laptops and net connections.
And we all know how classes run at icai branches?
