We are doing interstate Job work for manufacturing castings. All the materials are supplied by our cusotmer, we use the material for conversion it into castings. shoudl we declare the value of materials or job work receipts in our monthly return of vat under Karnataka VAT ACt.

No -Material receipts under jobwork basis are not purchase,hence no need to declare at form 100,-
Need to declare Labour charges rceipts under exemption column in form 100.
But need to show in excise books//returns.(if excise registered)

In order to give a correct reply to your query. I request you to provide the following details
- In which state do you have registration number for filing returns
- In which state do you carry out the work, are you registered in that state.
- Is your customer supplying the material to you free of cost ?
- If yes, Are you paying service tax on the value of your service
- If yes, to point 3 is your customer deducting tax at source from the payments made to you for the work
- What is the quantum of material (in percentages) supplied by you for the job.

Dear Sir,
We are a registered Dealer under Karnataka Valued Added TAx Act. We are manufacturer of Steel castings. Also we undertake to manufacture steel castings under job work basis. WE are having a customer at PUne,who supplies arll materials related to manufacture of castings. We use only labour and power to convert the materials into castings.
Whether we should issue Form F under CST Act.
OUr customer is deducting tax at source on job work charges under IT ACt.

Please may i know vat rate on steel in karnataka from 1st February 2014 becoze some body is asking vat 5.5% so please clarify my doubt or if any naotification is there please tell me section, any latest budjet this is your kind information
