hey priyanka ... your query is very subjective .. ca and cfa are altogether different fields of study .. while ca masters  u towards accountancy , cfa equips you with analytical skills .. the industries are also different... so its your call .. which line u wanna pursue .. as a ca u have an heirarchy level from associate to partner/ manager  while cfa will take  u to the level of senior analyst...so ur interests and priorities should decide wat u wanna do .. now coming to another point .. as i read in ur profile  ur ca finals are due in nov 10 .. according to that december would be the best time for u to enroll in cfa if u plan too ... aim for level 2 in june 10 ... final in nov 10 and then level 3 in june 11 ... it means u have a rigorious study session lying ahead (considering these r two differnet fields of study).. so i wud advice u to judge your pressure handling capacity ..... if u wanna make a mark as ca , i wud advise u to complete it and  go for australian cpa (mra with australia link in icai.org)....this wud give a gr8 boost to ur career and  open international avenues for you to explore ... as far as venue for cfa exam dec 2009 is concerned , its not finalised yet .. but seeing that it is being held in mumbai this season .. u can assume it will be held in mumbai next season too ... if u have any more queries .. plz clarify

i have been a derivative trader in international market for two years and such industries pursuade u to do cfa wch is entirely different from that of a ca ....as a cfa u will get entries into consulting companies  like mc kinsey , kpos ,  investment banks  and trading companies ... as a ca u will get into practice , audit firms , banks (as a manager ) or  industries as a finance manager or chief accountant.

thanks for the info....I am a CA final student and am also interested in doing CFA....can anyone tell me the fees for the course...

Thanks

check out the site cfainstitute.org for all ur queries .. fees roughly sums up to 50000 if u register early .. the late u do .. fees increases....

hey prashant .. icai has entered into an mra (mutual recognition agreement) with australia wherein members of icai will be awarded australian cpa  membership on successful completion of 2 papers ..... this degree is recognised in 6 countries neighbouring australia wch includes singapore , newzealand , malaysia to name a few .. for detailed information u can check out the link in icai website ( MRA with australia).
