Is it companlsory for a private limited comapny to appoint an internal auditor. My comapnies Paid up share capital is 6 crores and company secretary is already appointed.

- Can company secretary be given a designation of company secretary and internal auditor.

- is it necessary to appoint seperate company secretary and internal auditor?

Hello!

As per my point of view.

Internal audit is mandatory for a private co which has paid up capital and reserve more than 50Lac. or a avg annual turnover of rs. 5 crore of last 3 years. So in ur case that is required.

Internal Auditor must b a ca. And one professional cannt practice simultaneously  for 2 profession. So u should appoint other person as a internal auditor.
