Hi! which place are you from? I am doing my LLB full time course along with my CA Final. Of course i have already completed my articles. However, my college is flexible in terms of attendence for working professionals. Most of the time i just have to go during exams only.
There are some colleges who provide the 3yr LLB course from morning 7 to 9.30. you can check them out. you can attend articles after LLB classes. Howerever you need the permission of the ICAI to do the additional course.
It depends on what you want to do in future. A correspondance LLB gives you only some general knowledge of all the laws. If you want to practise Law, then you will have to take a full time course. If you are looking to getting into practise, and if you are not too confident of clearing CA fast, then take up full time LLB in a college where they are flexible with attendence. If u clear LLB faster than CA, you can still join a CA firm as Partner.
In terms of Specialization, in a general LLB degree, there are no specialization as such. Its more like you choose a subject and specialize while practising Law. You cover all the major aspects of Law in LLB and its quite interesting.
The Law papers that we study in CA and LLB seems a little different. in the sense, in LLB, the subjects are really outdated. The Latest ammendments are not covered. Unless of course if you are studying from NAtional Law School. For eg., Taxation Law, the teacher in our college was refering to Income Tax Act and Finance Act for A.Y. 2002-03 when my exams were in 2009. Of course, the questions in LLB are more focused on definitions and concepts. There is no computation. Similarly, in case of interpretation of Statutes, the questions that we get in CA for 5 marks come for 20 marks in LLB. We need to write rally long stories in LLB. But never the less, it gets very interesting.
Im doing my LLB from Bangalore University.
