Interest under Sec 234B is payable upto the date of payment of Tax (if paid before assessment). Please refer sub section 2 of sec 234B. Please note that Intt u/s 234B is payable only if tax paid is less than 90% of tax payable.

Dear CA Santha Kumar,
Please read the Reply of Mr.Nitesh Matta and Mr. D.C.Bansal together. Interest U/s.234B is payable till the payment of taxes. If the Assessment is made u/s.143(2) or 144 and assessing more income than returned, the 234B interest is Payable till the determining the Taxable Income
GSTR 9 and 9C for FY 23-24 as amended by Notification 12/2024 dated 10th July 2024(with recording)
