think there is no interest for late filing of tds returns if tds has been remitted in time..
am not sure,,
oders pls specify...

i think some penalty may be levied if tds returns are filed in late...

Penalty may be charged it is only depend on tax officer action only, he may charged or not depends on him only as he found.

there is no penalty on late filling of q1,q2,q3 return but penalty in late filling of q4 return as it time bound by 31st march of relevant year

Dear Santosh...
Q1, Q2 are TDS returns...
Every person who deducts TDS has to file quarterly returns...Q stands for quarter and 1,2, stands for the respective quarter....
In dat return basically is the info of deduction of the tax and the amount paid to i tax dept....
dis TDS return is filled at NSDL
