Interest on refund in case of revised return

I had revised my return where the refund amount remained unchanged. I want to know from which date will i be getting interest. The date from the original filing or the date from the revised return.

there is no date of revised return, the revised return step into shoes of original return i.e. the date of revised return is the date on which the original return was filed so period of interest will be counted from that date.

As delay is attributable to assessee , interest from revised return date

Section 244A deals with interest on income tax refund and provides for interest at the rate of 0.5% per month or part of the month on refund amount. Such interest shall be calculated from April 1st of assessment year till the date of grant of refund if refund is due to excess advance tax paid or TDS. In case of any discrepancy in the interest computation, you may raise an online request for rectification of the same by log in to your account.

I didn't judge you. I gave a way forward to the questioner. The answer I gave assumes that revised return was filed after getting notice. else your view is correct. don't get upset. I might be better qualified than you.
