Is the deduction u/s 80TTA allowed in addition to the exemption u/s 10(15)?
Eg. Interest received from Post office savings a/c(single) =20,000
What will be the taxable amt. ?

YOU RECEIVED DEDUCTION IN BOTH 3500 UNDER 10(15)+ 10000 UNDER 80 TTA

RS 3,500 is NOT A DEDUCTION IT IS EXEMPTION U/S 10(15) AND RS 10,000 IS DEDUCTION U/S 80TTA

Agree , by mistake my last statement posted , i also rectify it exemption under section 10(15)
