Interest on late payment of tds

The assesee is depositing interest on late payment of tds. during the depostit of TDS,  they are not bifurcating interest amount from actual tds amount.(i.e composite amount has been deposited under 194C).

is the assees is in default?

IS there any provisions that make mandatory to show interest portion separately.
