16 October 2015I had paid Rent on 1st Sept 2015 to Landlord Rs 20,000, and TDS was due @ 10% = Rs 2000
I deposited it late on 10th Oct 2015 instead of its due date of 7th Oct 2015.
Please inform the Interest payble - @ 1.50% for 1 month = Rs. 30 OR @ 1.50% for 2 months = Rs 60 ?

Hey amit,
Interest on late payment of TDS is calculated from the date of "deduction" (i.e the date when u paid the landlord after deducting TDS) to the date of actualy deposit.
in this case u deducted in sept and deposited in oct 10. u have to pay interest @ 1.5% for 2 months (as 10 days of october will be considered 1 month)

1.5% per month for 2 months. I.e you were liable to deposit the tax from 1st Sept to date of actual deposit I.e 10th oct
