Interest on FD not credited nut showing in AIS

1970 views 7 replies

I made an FD in October 2021 for one year. The interest will be credited when the FD period is over in october 22. The AIS for 21-22 shows partial interest which has been generated for 21-22 but not credited. Should i show this in this years ITR or show full amount after it is credited in next years ITR?

Show it in ITR of 21-22
Interest income has to be admitted and computed on accrual basis. so admit the interest income shown in ais under income from other sources

Also check your form 26 AS

You may show it in 2021-22 FY ( AY-2022-23) and reduce the interest in the subsequent year
Partial interest generated means.
Partial interest means some part of interest
@ G Verma ,

Review 26AS , AIS and actual information available with you . If you get additional income in AIS then it may be correct only on accrual basis
