Yes. it includes all interest income from bank deposits, postal deposits and savings bank interest.

yes but keep in mind 80 ttb limit is not adfitional to 80 tta.... a senior citizen can claim deduction only under sec 80 ttb

How? If Sr Citizen avails 80TTB then he is not eligible to claim deduction under 80TTA.
With the introduction of Section 80TTB exclusively for senior citizens, deductions under Section 80TTA is not available to senior citizens.
