input on unsold stock

trader having unsold stock in hand on which vat is paid and
having vat invoices but no excise invoice... will he get credit for ed on same if yes then how to calculate

Yes he will get credit for the same against SGST. Credit available would be the credit carried forward in the VAT return filed for the period ending one day prior to the appointed day.
Vat input tax credit of the last return will be allowed to carry forward in GST. For exise duty he will get a credit of 40% of the output CGST payable on that good
