For AMC charges paid for the period say 1.1.10 to 31.12.10, the amount pertaining to the period 1.4.10 to 31.12.10 booked as prepaid expenses during the Fy 09-10. The full amt of service tax paid for AMC can be availed as input or only amount pertaining to the three months can be availed?
the st input full amt can be claimed in the year 2009-10 even though it is booked as prepaid
as per my opinion we cant claim input on prepaid expenses bcoz as per defination of input service "input service means those services which has been used to provide out put service ." and since amc charges are paid for a period up to 31.12.10 so in 2009-10 we cant use whole amount paid as cenvat credit
