I have a query pls suggest me. can I claim input credit for hotel bills under GST.
No, you can't take ITC on Food and beverages consumed by you.

If GST charged on stay charges then u will claim ITC if hotel is within the state.

thanks sir, but it's a hotel bill for stay in the same city where my business place exist

Then in case u claim fully ITC i.e CGST and SGST respectively

As per the Provision of Section 17(5) of the CGST Act 2017, Input Tax Credit is specifically BLOCKED for Food and Beverages. So you can't claim ITC on your food bills.
But no restrictions levied on Accomodation Expenses ( Hotel stay bills ). You can claim ITC.

you can only claim itc when hotel is registered under GST . in the same state that to restricted to staying only.
