Hi
After completing 2 years of Articleship u may join Industrial training & to get the information abt the organisations u can log on to ICAI Website or check Notices at ITO, Vishwas Nagar, Newletter, Journals.
From my Personal Experience I'd like to tell u that none of these help me & I got opportunity when I just crossed the minimum training duration for Ind. Training.
Just try till u have time & if possible search 4 link in Organisations.

The organisation with which you wish to undergo industrial training needs to be registered with ICAI, the list of registered companies is available on ICAI website.
It is always a bright idea to opt for industrial training if you want to get into a particular field other than accounting, auditing, taxation.

I have got what all of you are trying to say....my industrial training period would start from August, 2008 and I want to know how to approach any organisation for the said purpose.
As far as Wipro is concerned...they want qualified chartered accountants having atleast 9mts left in articleship period...jus wondering how it could be possible!!!
Anyways, I discussed it with their HR dept..they are hell bent on having a qualified chartered accountant for industrial training.

You can approach the organisations directly.
In case of industrial training, there are enormous choices.
You can appraoch investment banks, consulting firms, commercial banks, telecom companies etc.
You need to present yourself well. Someone had contributed resume writing tips in one of the forum messages, go through it.
First impression makes a lot of difference, your covering letter and the first few lines of resume should be powerful enough to catch hold of the mind of the reader to such an extent, that he must not bother to go ahead and look for academics/references.
I believe there are 3 ways of getting your dream job -
1. With an extraordinary academics
2. Strong references.
3. To present yourself in such a way, that nobody asks you for academics or references.
Out of the above, im sure 3rd one would sound pretty difficult, but thats the only option for people having average scores, no references and wanting a good start. Its very easy, believe me its easy.
Good Luck.

Thank u everyone for the replies. We can have many options when it comes to Industrial training.....but doing it in a good organization is necessary not only because it adds weightage to our resume but also because it improves our learning curve.

Dear Friends,
i think that minimum period of Industrial Training should not be 9 months. It shoud be less so that after exams of CA final one can get enough time to go for some industrial training Interviews.
Institute should decrease it, otherwise some arrangements should be made by the concerned organisations so that one can join the training just after the exams........
Lets make the institute & organisations aware about this matter...................
