It is better but in any case industrial training can be for minimum period of 9 months to a maximum of 12 months...
You will anyhow have to do at least 2 yrs of Articleship in an audit firm..

Many companies give industrial training, the big ones being ITC, Reliance, and almost all the banks including ICICI, HSBC, PNB, UTI, HDFC, Yes Bank, etc...

Ok... I thought you are a fresher...
Well, that is a very difficult thing to say..
All i can say it u may find it in the related company's site. Also you may get some information from the notice board of the regional branch of ICAI.
Many companies keep posting their articleship and trainee requirements on that notice board...

But one thing, if u have already completed 2.5 yrs of articleship, why do you want to go for industrial training?
I mean, in any case you will have to register for another 9 months, so you got to do training for 3 months extra and moreover, it is not true that the company will absorb you after 9 months.

oh... fine then you can surely go for industrial training..
But remember one thing, don't take transfer from your existing firm on just selection..
Take transfer only when u get the date of joining in the latter.. As something of this kind has happened to a member of CAClub.. and that too the related company was none other than KPMG.. Just go through the forum titled "KPMG has ruined my life"
Feel free to ask for any suggestion.
Regards
Madhumita.
