in finished goods are transferred from unit a to unit b in another state...and then they are sold from that state...will excise credit will be allowed in unit a..or it will have to be reversed and allowed in unit b?

If goods are transferred (say to a branch) from one place to another via stock transfer (even interstate), then the consignor is required to charge ED on such stock transfer. There is no need for the consignee (branch) to charge ED on such items when sold thru the branch. Branch has to furnish form F to the HO.

If unit b is registered as dealer in Excise then he can pass on Cenvat to the consignee. Other wise not.
