Yes mohd rafi is a very good book.You can go for it.But since not all the topics are explained in depth so you are advised to include practice manual & rtps in your preparation.

You may go for INDIRECT TAXES MADE EASY by NS Govindan Edition14th 2014 January
Recommened by icai.
It is a nice book, good for self study.
