India Nov Exports up 3.87%, Imports 24.55%


India`s exports during November, 2011 were valued at USD 22,321.64 million which was 3.87% higher in Dollar terms (17.34% higher in Rupee terms) than the level of USD 21,489.49 million (Rs. 96,742.01) during November, 2010. Cumulative value of exports for the period April-November 2011-12 was USD 1,92,694.38  million as against USD 1,44,659.95 million registering a  growth of 33.21% in Dollar terms and 35.10% in Rupee terms over the same period last year.

Imports:

India`s imports during November, 2011 were valued at USD 35,922.43 million representing a growth of 24.55% in Dollar terms (40.70% in Rupee terms) over the level of imports valued at USD 28,842.33 million in November, 2010. Cumulative value of imports for the period April-November, 2011-12 was USD 3,09,530.45 million as against USD 2,37,664.08 million registering a growth of 30.24% in Dollar terms and 32.19% in Rupee terms over the same period last year.
 
Crude Oil and Non-Oil Imports:
              
Oil imports during November, 2011 were valued at USD 10,307.1 million which was 32.28% higher than oil imports valued at USD  7792.1 million in the corresponding period last year.  Oil imports during April-November, 2011-12 were valued at USD 9,4116.5 million which was 42.67% higher than the oil imports of USD 65,967.8 million in the corresponding period last year.

Non-oil imports during November, 2011 were estimated at USD 25,615.3 million which was 21.69% higher than non-oil imports of USD 21,050.2 million in November, 2010.  Non-oil imports during April - November, 2011-12 were valued at USD 2,15,413.9 million which was 25.46% higher than the level of such imports valued at USD 1,71,696.3 million in April - November, 2010-11.

Trade Balance:

The trade deficit for April-November, 2011-12 was estimated at USD 1,16,836.07 million which was higher than the deficit of USD 93,004.13 million during April-November, 2010-11
