Incorrect assessment year

While filing for the IT returns for the financial year 2009-10, someone had put the assessement year as 2009-10 (instead of 2010-11), which makes it filing for the previous year.

Is there a way to get this rectified ? The attached Form-16, of course has the right information about the assessment year and all other data matches with that form-16.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

it means your return for the p y is also not filled,, now you write a letter to your officer stating the fact and attached return for the A Y 2010-11

Thanks for your response. The return for the previous year would be filed twice. Since it was manual filing then, it didnt show up during the filing process.
