My friend's dad died on September 2018. For filing Income tax return should I file his dad's return upto August 2018 & rest to be clubbed with Friends income ??
What will be the process for filing Income tax return of deceased person.?

return for one year can be filed in the name of lr (legal representative)
that means I should file FY 2018-19 return by appointing his son as legal heir... correct?
