for a.y. 2014-15 I filed my itr as I was in whole time practice in company secretary. though I had a nil return. do I need to file my itr for a.y 2015-16 because currently I m not practising and not in employment and no TDS.

since you have started to file return from AY 2014-15, it is advisable to continue to file returns even though "nil".

You are just starting out and your total income falls below the taxable limit, but would like to keep a record. There are several instances where income tax serves as a proof, say when you are applying for visa or while getting your passport made.
